"Why Join the Jefferson County Home
Builders Association," you ask?
Since 1983, the Jefferson County Home Builders
Association has been promoting the building trades and fighting
for affordable housing within our county. Membership to the
JCHBA is actually a three for one deal. Our members automatically
become members of the Building
Industry of Washington (BIAW) and the National
Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Membership with the JCHBA allows for networking
opportunities at our monthly dinner meetings, the annual golf
tournament and through committee participation. And, many
of our members take the "Do Business With a Member"
program quite seriously.

Membership in the BIAW allows for participation
in the BIAW's Return
on Industrial Insurance (R.O.I.I.) program,
the largest retrospective ratings group in the
state. Many
of our members receive a 25 percent average refund
on their Labor and Industries (L&I) workers’ compensation
premiums each July! More than $211,000 was handed
out
to participating JCHBA members last July.
Even those companies who do have claims — and
have yet to see a dime in refunds — love the R.O.I.I.
program. The BIAW handles the paperwork (and hassles)
for the claims.

The BIAW's Health
Insurance program is a nonprofit, group benefit program
created for members of Northwest building associations. Great

Providing educational opportunities is near
and dear to the heart of the JCHBA. Not only do we promote
the education of our members, but those in our local community,
as well.
As members of the National
Association of Home Builders (NAHB), our members have
access to special programs, information services and more
than 200 industry specialists. They also receive Builder
magazine and Nations Building News. National chains
offer NAHB members myriad discounts, as well.
