Log in to NAHB.org

National Association of Home Builders www.nahb.org currently houses all of NAHB's public and member-only information. It contains extensive housing industry information and the latest news, publications, meetings, events, education courses, etc. Only NAHB members can see thousands of additional pages of member-exclusive content through secure log-in functionality.
(JCHBA members all belong to the NAHB.)

First Time Users: To create your log-in, please follow the steps below. This information is only needed the first time you sign up; when you return, you will only need your username and password to log in.

  1. Go to www.nahb.org/login
  2. Create a username and password
  3. Enter your NAHB PIN and your state
  4. Check the "Remember My Username and Password" box, so the system will recognize you when you return

  • NAHB's Household Mold Resource Center What is it? Do I have it? How can I prevent it? And, how do I get rid of it?
  • Builder Online, the online version of Builder magazine, which builder members of the NAHB receive monthly.
  • Building Homes of Our Own is a CD-ROM interactive teaching tool developed for the middle school classroom environment. (Older students will love it, too.) This is not only amazing, but free to educators and members of the NAHB!
    The game — a 2002 International EMMA Award Winner — takes the players through the entire home building process, from selecting a site through the final sale. Players collect information, solve problems and make the necessary choices to build their 3D home on budget. The players then review credit applications and sell their home to the buyer of their choice.

  • Home Maintenance Guide is a great little 16-page guide for builders, focusing on mold prevention, to give to homeowners. Download the .pdf and print it on your computer. (Requires Acrobat Reader. )
  • BIAW's Return on Industrial Insurance (R.O.I.I.) program is the largest retrospective ratings group in the state. Its members receive a 25 percent average refund on their Labor and Industries (L&I) workers’ compensation premiums. Another great perk of the program: if you do have a claim, the BIAW handles the paperwork!
  • "BIAW's Health Insurance program is a nonprofit, multiple-employer benefit program created for members of local building associations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Purchasing power, excellent benefits and rate stability are the cornerstones of the success of the BIAW Health Insurance program." Check out the program's "Top Ten Membership Benefits" and ask for a no-obligation health insurance premium quote. (Requires Acrobat Reader.)
  • BIAW's Safety Assistance program offers expertise to deal with safety and health regulations. The program, free to members, includes onsite safety inspections, safety-related seminars and updates on OSHA and WISHA standards. Free sample written accident prevention programs are also available.   • BIAW's Legal Program has four in-house attorneys, experienced in the courtroom, judicial chambers, and the Legislature. They are available to answer members' legal questions, represent them in crucial cases, and ensure they are informed on changes in the law that could affect their businesses all free of charge.
  • Cure Notice: If you want to take advantage of the cure process established in state law, you must provide this notice to the homeowner in the contract for sale, construction, or substantial remodel of a residence.
  • How to File a Lien provides information, contract language, and forms to help you protect your rights and collect your fees.
  • Building Insight Magazine, the BIAW's award-winning monthly publication.
  • Webinars online!Online seminars are "live" Web-based training. All you need is an Internet connection and a telephone to participate in any of the listed seminars. With no set-up fees, no travel costs and no down time to and from training, this is a great way to continue your own education or offer classes to your staff. Members can choose from several times and days to fit their busy schedules.
